Growing up in Wisconsin, I spent most of my time working at stables and riding with the United States Pony Club. In 2004, I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Equine Science and Spanish. From there I headed east to Kentucky to work on a Thoroughbred breeding farm. I was accepted into the Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI) and was placed on Trackside Farm. This is where I had extensive experience preparing weanlings, yearlings, and broodmares for the Keenland Sales. Upon finishing my internship, I remained at Trackside Farm for the breeding season where I gained experience in the day to day handling of foals, mares, and teaser stallions, natural breeding covers, foal care, and assisted with daily reproductive veterinary work. After a year and a half, I realized out west is where I needed to be. I then headed to Montana and spent 6 months riding under Curt and Tammy Pate. And that is what led me to The Home Ranch!
I was born and raised in Tolland, Connecticut. I grew up riding mostly english and started work on my first breeding farm when I was in high school. Victoria Arabians gave me my start and this is where I learned to collect, inseminate, cool and ship semen, foal out mares, and care for weanlings. From there, I came out west to Fort Collins, Colorado where I studied equine science at Colorado State University. While in school, I worked at CSU's Equine Reproduction Lab where I got to see first hand a lot of the latest advances in reproduction. I came to the ranch in 2005 as a wrangler and have been here for 4 seasons. I graduated in the spring of 2007, and I am now at the ranch full time. This will be my second year organizing the Canadian Sport Horse Production Sale, and I look forward to helping you find the perfect weanling to fit your needs!
